Yup. Took off from a small airport in Berlin (not Tegel or Templehoff, but I would need to look it up and I am too lazy) and flew with an instructor in the right seat and two excited and happy Berliners in the back seat over to Potsdam, where we saw the Francis Gary Powers exchange bridge and the house where the Potsdam conference whacked up Germany into pieces to be administered.
My back seat hosts (for such they were) took over fifty pix which show much of the city, the tower, the stadium, universities, railroads and such, which was expected. But the tranquil lakes, the rivers and the unexpectedly large expanses of open country and woods was what took me by (happy) surprise.

Is that the Chesapeake Bay???
Excellent guess, but nope. Thanks for playing however!!
Is it in Europe?
Hmmmm I'm not sure
Yes to Mr Stu. Impressed as usual.
Hiya Wizzy--say Hi to Marcel, ok?
Hmmm give me a little time. Don't know off the top of my head.
Europe huh....
One JSer lived almost within view of here but moved recently. Another lives further away but in the same country.
From the air it looks like a Ggerman view, the roof tiles are not quite English to me.
Again, yes to Mr Stu for German. Think Harry Truman, Joe Stalin and Winnie Churchill (1945)
Hey Fin- Marcel says hello! How are you?
I was on the wrong continent. I wanted to make it Mississippi, but I could clearly see it wasn't.
It has to be Berlin then!

ah, then it was Wagner who moved away *snif* and me much farther from there but same country. Nice game, fin.
The first comment was funny to me since my first thought when I saw the photo was, "it certainly is not the Chesapeake Bay".
Where did Wagner go? I lost touch after JS ... oh by the way I was going to guess Germany but I'd not have known exactly where.
West coast somewhere, but I don't remember whether it was LA or Washington or somewhere else.
Excellent guess, but nope. Thanks for playing however!!
