Audience

Went to commit aviation, finally, as the temps were upper 40s
(although forecast to low teens tonight) and it had been awhile
since I had flown.

Winds: from the SSW (210 degrees) at 14 MPH (12 knots; 6.2 m/s)
gusting to 23 MPH (20 knots; 10.4 m/s)

Accordingly, there were not a lot of planes flying. But I still
felt the need to do some nice landings, as there were 12 bright
eyes watching me.

Glad you got to go up for a little while. Nice deer, Dear.

Thanks. The photo was shot from a moving plane. They were right at the approach end of the runway, where they are worth keeping an eye on.

the ones I saw last night I couldn't take pictures of, it was dark, and I was driving the car on a narrow forest road.
It's been too long since I last flew... just got my class 1 medical renewed though.

Has the look f a nice flying day and a nice airport threshold. At first I thought you were maybe doing touch and goes on a grass strip.

There is a defacto grass strip adjacent to both 5000' runways, used by the very active glider club based there.

I was in fact doing touch and go's, with one other a/c in the pattern, but on the hard surface. Did a couple of beauties, specially in view of the strong, gusty winds.
