It is a really big deal down here, and actually a lot of fun.

Sorry I missed it this year!

Is "down here" the sunny South?
Some nice Chevys there. Any low riders doing the up and down thing?

Nope on the low riders. There were, according to the paper, almost five thousand paid entrants this year. My impression was that chevies out attended all other makes combined, with 55 and 57 being particular favorites.

Yes, down here is sunny and has been so every day since I arrived. The gov has instituted a state-wide burn ban.

I'm very partial to the 56 Chevy. It is my fave of that time period...

I once owned ( all mine!) a 57 Chevy. My husband and I also had a 56 Chevy and a 93 Chevy 2 door chromed bucket seats with automatic shift on the floor, and it was a convertible !

We have a Vette Club in Michigan in my hometown and surrounding area. Car show galore up there!

Glad y'all had a nice time out. I so love events like this!
