Fantastic. I hope this beauty comes back Down Under for the Qantas 90th Birthday this year, I really want to see it in the flesh as I missed it last time
"Up your nose with a rubber hose!!" LOL!!! Welcome Back, Kotter. I'm in love with airplanes. There is a vendor I go to frequently where planes are landing and flying DIRECTLY overhead the building. You can hear the roar of the engines echoing off the buildings next door as they are approaching. I look straight up and there it is - an airplane the size of a building flying through the sky, engines roaring, it's a thing of beauty. I daydream - being behind the controls, puts me in a different world.
The NYC affiliate just solicited comments about Southwest airlines throwing someone off a plane for being overweight. I made a good one, but it was not accepted because I had not signed up and given them an email address. So here is my comment on that subject:

This may take the cake as the most asinine debate in history. Aircraft, unlike trains, need to operate within clearly specified weight and balance limits...a little matter of gravity and not subject to trendy political correctness hissyfits.
The term people of size is of course ludicrous, as it describes everyone.

Taken by my good friend Derf, minutes ago at local aerodrome.
I know Derf was excited!
As only a Derf can be.

Hi Tray. Thanks for stopping by. Friends of mine have seen this baby parked in Florida where it shares some ramp space with a Gulfstream by his house.
